And we're back :)
M&M was suppose to tie the knot in May, and of course we all know what happened in May. Their best day (ever) finally arrived on Saturday at Meerendal and we are truly thankful that we could share these moments with them ❤ We all celebrated their love in Lockdown Level 2 and even though the party ended early (due to curfew) it was a proper party and celebration. Mr&Mrs Van der Walt, we wish you a lifetime of love, happiness and amazing moments in between it all. Ching-Ching 🥂🍾 It's sooo good to be back 🎶 Dream team: Venue: Meerendal Wine Estate Wedding Planner: Just Celebrate Wedding Photographer: Sam Black Photography

*•.¸♡ 'I don't believe in magic'
The young boy said... The old man smiled... 'You will when you see her' ~Atticus ♡¸.•* Up next...another piece of cake Today's slice: Weddings: Walking Down The Aisle It's the moment EVERYONE's been waiting for ... the final big reveal! Here comes the bride! This one always gets me a bit teary with too much happiness! The deep breaths and the moment of goosebumps (and tears) when your partner or husband-to-be and guests see you for the very first time and the very last time as a Miss. Have you thought of sharing the same song with your tribe as you walk down the aisle? Look at the length of the walk and then make the decision you feel comfortable with, either way, there is a song for you. Another trend is that some grooms + their groomsmen decide to have a "walking down the aisle" song too. This is pretty different and quite cool! We've created another Spotify Playlist for you. This playlist includes a few fun ones for the grooms as well ? Ready - Set - Go P.S. If you are thinking of a getting a violinist or some live music for these moments, click on over to Resound Music It feels like Spring has finally Sprung ? Our series of sharing a piece of cake for our birthday month continues ? Today's slice: ? Wedding: Entrance Songs Your Reception is the first moment that you walk in as Mr & Mrs, so this one needs to be big and loud! Your MC makes the announcement: “Please stand up and welcome Mr & Mrs, for the first time as husband and wife”…The crowd goes wild! We've created a cool ? Spotify Playlist ? with 33 different songs.
Weekend Loading...
"Ladies and gentlemen, the moment we've all been waiting for... it's Friday." and we've got the feeling ? Cheers to the weekend ? Today we'll be serving something else: It's cupcake o'clock!? Wedding: Parent dances To have your dad or mom at your wedding is an absolute blessing ? It's such a privilege to have a special dance with either one of them. The trend is to have one song for this, but we want to share some different options with you. Dad Mom...Let's dance! ? We've created a cool ? Spotify Playlist ? with 25 different songs. Involve them when you make the song selection ? and have a ton of fun ?? Seeing that September is our birthday month, we will be sharing a piece of cake with you every week. Here is your first slice: Your Wedding DJ Reading time: 1 min 30 sec 🎼Music and good quality equipment will set the mood of your entire wedding day 🎵 It's the only thing that you can't touch because it creates good times and All The Feels❤ Wedding DJing is very different from any other type of DJ celebrations and events. We have mastered the art of entertainment, engaging with a diverse audience, and have an awesome understanding between the balance of all the feel-good music and how important good quality sound is. Your Wedding DJ is ready from the moment your first guest arrives at your ceremony until the very last song of your night…and your DJ is usually the very last person leaving your venue on the night. Even though music is one of the most vital parts of your wedding day, it's not JUST about the music, but also about the sound - the pitch - the volume, and of course the equipment. Bad equipment can ruin beautiful moments. Some Wedding Tips to think about: 1. Wedding DJs are not a jukebox and do so much more than then press play ⏯️ They amplify everything from the start. It’s all about precision, sound clarity for the minister, EMCee, all the other speeches, and of course, bringing the ambiance and energy to the dream-vibe your big day. 2. Wedding DJs understand the importance of TOP quality equipment, enough preparation time (days before your wedding), and that the flow should always be uninterrupted. Southern Sound does this with multiple sound systems + dedicated setups, from our smaller ceremony system, pre-drinks + canapes, and then our BIG main system for your Reception. Every part of our setup includes a microphone because we’ve seen too many times how the MC or bridesmaids need to round-up the guests for photos. 3. Weddings consist of very diverse crowds. It's like a mixtape for a variety of any age range, backgrounds, cultures, and musical interests. Your wedding DJ must be able to read the room and keep everyone engaged during the different phases of your day 🎶 Look out for your serving of our next piece of cake 🎂
